First Republic Minister of Aviation and Nigeria’s only surviving nationalist, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, has come out to attack the incoming government. He said that the present administration committed treasonable offence by deploying the military during the general election. This is the same man who had endorsed the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for the general election.Amaechi, who was one of the youngest ministers in the First Republic who spoke to journalists in his country home, Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government of Anambra State, called on all to reject the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, and his party as voting for him may mean supporting the collapse of Nigeria. #Amaechi maintained that the military should have no part to play in elections and internal security in the country. Amaechi, a foremost nationalist, also noted that President Muhammadu Buhari would not have stepped down had he lost the election to Atiku Abubakar of the #Peoples Democratic Party. He said that the military would have backed Buhari to sit tight in power.
